September 2024 Plot Tour

The September 2024 Plot Tour is just around the corner! Midway Coop will be hosting a plot tour on Wednesday, September 4th. The tour will begin at 10:30 AM at the Former Solomon Rapids seed facility (West of Ackerman Supply). The tour of the Lebanon plot will begin at 5:30 PM. The Plot Tour will also include a tour of our new Fertilizer Plant in Osborne in the morning. The plant utilizes Programmable Logic Controllers and Artificial Intelligence to not only automate the fertilizer blending process but also to help the system self-adjust over time. This reduces the need for follow-up adjustments by technicians and more efficiently utilizes your Coop's mission-critical resources.

For the past few years, Midway has been collaborating with AgVend, an agribusiness software development team, to produce a mobile application for Midway patrons. We are happy to announce that we will be unveiling this application at the plot tour on September 4th. We will have two fifteen-minute presentations on the various ways this application can not only create ease of access to a patron's own information but also put more power in the hands of the producer. Those present at the plot tour can, if desired, receive an invitation to be part of the first group of users.
